Super Easy, Super Cute Thanksgiving Cookies

It’s our first Thanksgiving in our new home! I wanted to make something sweet with the kids, but the problem is, well, I’m a HORRIBLE baker. So I reached out to some of my favorite bloggers, and was thrilled to discover this adorable, no-bake recipe for “Thanksgiving Turkey Cookies” from one of my all-time favorite bloggers, Tarynn Playle, of the awesome blog Mama By Fire. (If you’re not familiar with Mama By Fire, please check it out! The creativity you see here is just a sample of the awesome ideas on her site!) So, without further ado, here is the recipe for cookies your family is sure to gobble up.

No Bake Turkey Cookies
A Guest Post from Tarynn Playle of Mama By Fire

To make these adorable little Turkey Cookies, you will need:

Striped Shortbread Cookies
Milk Duds
Melted White Chocolate Chips* dyed red or orange (This will act as your binder, or glue, so to speak. So if you don’t have chocolate chips, frosting works just fine!)
Candy Eyes

1. Place one cookie face down, with the chocolate side facing up. Take a second cookie and cut across it slicing along the bottom of the center circle.

2. Use the chocolate and spread it on the chocolate side of the smaller cut piece. Place it, face up, on top of its other half, making the cut sides as even as possible. These will be the feathers.

3. Spread chocolate on the cut sides of the cookie, then place it in the middle of the whole cookie with the chocolate side up.

4. Take a Milk Dud and “glue” two eyes on the top, then make a triangle for the beak and a little squiggle for the wattle.

5. “Glue” the Turkey head in the center of the “feathers.”

These little guys were super easy to make and they were a huge hit with the kids.

Thank you, Tarynn! Can’t wait to make these with the kids!
