Welcome to this week’s edition of Wednesday Weird Parenting News! This week we’re talking about racist kids meals at Wendy’s, jet-setting Frozen style, and more. Be sure to check out these strange stories from this week’s parenting headlines.

Unhappy meal. When a Colorado mother got takeout from Wendy’s, she received an ugly surprise. Her daughter’s kids meal contained a pack of playing cards with racist language written on it, including the n-word. Even worse, when her mother went to complain, the employees had her removed by the police. Now that’s not better. Read the story.

Do you wanna build an airplane? Have your kids still not “let it go”? Then they may love flying on Canadian airline WestJet’s new Frozen-themed plane. The custom-painted aircraft depicts Frozen princesses Elsa and Anna, as well as Olaf the snowman sunning on a beach. See the plane here.

What’s tickling baby? Want to bond with your newborn? Tickling his toes may not be the way to go. According to new research reported in the journal Current Biology, infants four months and younger can feel and respond to tickles — but they don’t associate the sensation with the outside world. So you may want to wait before showing baby which little piggie had roast beef and which little piggie had none. Learn more.

  1. Oh no! We can’t tickle our baby’s toes? Haha I can’t resist though. They are so cute.

  2. That is interesting about babies not associating the tickling with the outside world. I wonder how they interpret it: pleasurable or not? I think kids would be delighted by a Frozen themed plane.

  3. Yeah I’d be unhappy with that meal too. What is this world coming to?!

  4. Wendy’s needs to do something to make it up to the little girl.Invite her and her family to come in and play a game with the staff. Show her that not everyone there is a “bad person/” Something. They just took away a child’s innocence.

  5. I bet my entire family would enjoy going on that airplane.

  6. What? That’s awful about what happened with that meal and how that poor mom was treated.

  7. Another interesting weird parenting post :) – thanks for sharing!
